Stage 1: Foundation & Focus

Goal: Build focus, attention, and basic obedience.

Covers:

• Establishing strong bond and trust with the handler.

• Teaching basic obedience commands: sit, stay, come, heel.

• Introducing the dog to alert training environment.

• Conditioning dog to look at handler on command.

• Using positive reinforcement (treats, praise, toys).

• Beginning sound desensitization: exposing the dog to common household sounds at low volume.
